Nigeria's university system is facing another dangerous chapter in its long history of underfunding, broken agreements, industrial disputes and declining staff morale. But beyond the familiar problem of inadequate funding lies another disturbing development: the apparent fragmentation of university workers through unequal, staggered and selective implementation of negotiated agreements.
